If you’re submitting a claim near the end of the month, you might be wondering how that affects your reimbursement timeline—especially if it’s close to the deadline. Here’s what you need to know about how Forma processes claims and when you can expect to see reimbursements through your company’s payroll.
📅 Claim Timing and Payroll Reports
Forma reviews all claims submitted by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on the last day of the month. Claims that are approved are added to a monthly payroll report that your employer receives.
Your reimbursement will be processed through payroll based on that report, so you’ll typically see it reflected in your next paycheck.
✅ What Happens If I Submit a Claim on the Last Day of the Month?
- If your claim is approved, it will still be included in the next month’s payroll report—even if submitted on a weekend or holiday.
- If your claim is rejected, it will not be included. You’ll need to either dispute it or submit a new claim with updated documentation.
Example:
- You submit a claim on July 31 (a Saturday).
- If it’s approved, it will appear in the August payroll report and be paid in your August paycheck.
- If it’s rejected and resubmitted in August, the new version will be included in the September payroll report, and reimbursed in your September paycheck.
❌ What Happens with Rejected Claims?
If your claim is rejected, you have two options:
- Contact Forma Support
- If your claim was rejected in error or you have more information, reach out to Support at support@joinforma.com for a review.
- In some cases, we may be able to reapprove it if it’s still within the same month.
- Submit a New Claim
- If you have the right documentation now, you can submit a new claim.
- The new submission will follow the standard review process, and if approved, will be included in the next available payroll report.
🧠 Helpful Tips
- Submit early when possible—especially near month-end—to allow time for review before the payroll report is generated.
- Keep an eye on your email or Forma notifications in case we need additional documentation.
- Rejected claims are never included in payroll reports, even if they were originally submitted in time.
