This timeline is for reimbursements from FSA, LPFSA, DCFSA, Parking, and Transit benefits only. For employer-sponsored account reimbursements refer to When will I receive reimbursement for my employer-sponsored claims?
After filing a claim for eligible pre-tax expenses from your Forma account online or on the app, you’ll be reimbursed via direct deposit 5-7 business days after the claim is approved.
Reimbursements for pre-tax benefits are only available via direct deposit, so you have to link a personal bank account to your Forma account otherwise you won’t be reimbursed. Forma does not issue paper checks for reimbursements.
If you have not received your reimbursement, please check that the bank account status is 'Connected'. If this is not the case, follow the steps in the article Setting up your bank account for direct deposit (ACH payments).
If you’ve already filed claims before linking your bank account, once the bank account is linked any pending reimbursements will automatically be processed. If you haven't filed any claims before, you will not be able to do so unless you link your bank account first.
Forma processes all unpaid approved claims on Wednesdays and Fridays. It takes 5-7 business days from the initial processing to receive reimbursements, so reimbursements are typically posted to your bank account on the nearest Friday or Tuesday.
Example
A claim was approved on a Thursday but no bank account was linked. On Sunday, the reimbursement process failed because there was no bank account to deposit the approved amount into.
On Monday the bank account was linked successfully. The claim would be included in the batch of reimbursements on Wednesday and you would receive reimbursement for the claim on Friday.
