Sure! If you have both health care and dependent care expenses, you can contribute to both a Health Care and Dependent Care FSA. During setup, you'll be able to choose separate amounts for each type. However, you can't transfer funds between the two accounts.
Here are other common combinations of the benefits account you can have:
-
HSA + LPFSA: Since LPFSAs do not cover medical expenses so they are often paired with HSA.
-
FSA + DCFSA: People can have both FSA and DCFSA to cover medical expenses and non-medical dependent care expenses.
-
HSA + LPFSA + DCFSA
-
HSA + LPFSA +DCFSA + Commuter
The key Principle is that only one account covers the medical expenses.
