What are the different ways to log in to Forma?

There are multiple ways you can log in to your Forma account, depending on what settings your employer has turned on.

Log in via SSO

1. Go to https://client.joinforma.com/login and select “Sign in” 
2. Enter your email address and select “Next” 
3. Go through SSO prompt (details will vary depending on your employer’s SSO method)

Even with SSO enabled, you can access Forma without SSO as long as you have access to the email address associated with your Forma account (usually work email address). 

Log in with a Magic Link

The Magic Link option lets you receive an email with a unique, one-time use link that will let you log in directly. This must be requested each time, and requires that you have access to your work email on the device you’re trying to log in with.
Important: Each Magic Link expires 10 minutes after being requested.

1. Go to https://client.joinforma.com/login and select “Get Magic Link”
2. Enter your email address and select “Next” 
3. Find an email from Forma with the subject line “Use this link to log in to Forma”
4. Open the email and select “Log in to Forma”

Log in with your work email and password 

Creating a new password

As long as you’ve already activated your Forma account, you can set up a password to use to log in. To set up a password, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://client.joinforma.com/login, and select “Get Magic Link” 
2. Enter your work email address and select “Next”
3. Next to “Have a password?”, select “Log in here”
4. Underneath the button, select “Reset here”
5. Enter your work email address and you’ll get an email from Forma with the subject line “Action needed: Reset Forma Password” 
6. Open that email and select “Set a new password” 
7. Enter and confirm your new password and select “Update password”

Important: You’ll receive two emails from Forma by following these steps. The first is an email with a subject line “Use this link to log into Forma”—this email contains a Magic Link you can use to log in without a password. The second email has a subject line “Action needed: Reset Forma password”. Use this email to reset your password.

Logging in with an existing password

If you already have a password, follow these steps to log in:

1. Go to https://client.joinforma.com/login, and select “Get Magic Link” 
2. Enter your work email address and select “Next”
3. Next to “Have a password?”, select “Log in here”
4. Enter your password and select “Log in”
